Independent neurology press · by Dr. Mohamed Najm

Neurology, written to be remembered.

Free books and study tools for the doctors who meet the brain at the bedside — in the emergency department, the ICU and the neurology clinic.

Why “Tract”

A word with two meanings.

tractNEUROANATOMY

A bundle of nerve fibres carrying a signal from one part of the brain to another. The corticospinal tract. The optic tract.

tractLITERATURE

A short written work that argues one thing clearly. Something you read once and keep.

Both are ways information travels. The books here try to be both: anatomically exact, and written well enough that you remember them at three in the morning.

The author

Dr. Mohamed Najm

MBBS · FEBN · PGDip EM · MRCEM (Secondary) · MSc Neurology, Buckingham (in progress)

Neurologist specialising in neurocritical care and neurological emergencies, Fellow of the European Board of Neurology. He also writes fiction in Arabic — which may be why readers keep saying the same thing about his first medical book: that it reads like a novelist wrote a neurology text.
